To know about us is to know our way of doing business. We believe it’s what makes us different and special to our retailer customers. If flooring is a personal decision that reflects on the home or business owner, then the making and selling of flooring should reflect the personal pride and care of everyone involved. That’s why at Southwind, we are a family of flooring craftspeople who provide the quality and integrity of flooring we’d like to have in our own homes.
With Southwind, we’re small enough to treat every retailer like family, yet large enough to provide the support, terms, merchandizing, selection, and quality you need to compete for your customers. We will never surprise you with things like hidden fees, value engineering that compromises quality, or unknown shipping costs. However,we will surprise and delight you with ‘Windfall Rewards’ opportunities, stunning new designs, and genuine care about the success your business.
That’s because at Southwind,we love two things. We love flooring. And we love the people who make and sell flooring. That’s what we call the Southwind Way.

The Southwind Way began in 1994 as Cherokee Carpets in Dalton, Georgia. Cherokee quickly became known for high-quality, yet affordable broadloom carpets made in America.
In 1997, Cherokee acquired Southwind Carpets and began selling directly to floor covering retailers. The name was changed to Southwind Carpets and the company expanded from residential to Main Street and commercial carpets with a growing network of retailers.
Southwind responded to the growing popularity of resilient flooring by adding hard surface in 2015 with luxury vinyl planks (LVP) and rigid core WPC lines.
F9 Brands, Inc. acquired Southwind in 2021 and changed the name to Southwind Building Products. F9 Brands is a privately owned, Franklin, Tennessee company specializing in building, home improvement, and home décor products.
